If you are thinking that your home is in need of an AC replacement, Thomson Air Conditioning is the right company for you. Our team of highly trained installers is clean and efficient.
Any typical installation or replacement consists of these basic steps:
Step 1: Inspection and Consultation
Our team will come out to your home. We will listen to you and understand your priorities, concerns, and budget for your project. We will measure your home and inspect your entire heating and air conditioning situation. We will take notes and pictures of your property that allow us to design the perfect AC system for you.
Step 2: System Design
After we measure the home, we can begin the design of your custom HVAC system. Each customer and home is unique. Different homes have different goals and objectives, so even the most basic system will be custom tailored.
Step 3: Proposal
Our team will run your ac replacement design through our computer system and come up with an exact quotation for you. Each quotation will be detailed with the complete scope of work and exact price. There’s no guesswork here. Everything is disclosed to you 100%.
Step 4: Acceptance of Contract
If you like the proposal that we’ve created for you and you’re ready to get your ac replacement project moving, simply sign the estimate (digitally or in ink) and submit your 10% deposit. We can then begin to schedule your installation. Signed estimates are important. We want you to have a fully understood everything about your project. The deposit is what we use to hold your date on the calendar. It ensures we can pay for any city permits, restocking fees, and delivery charges from the manufacturer if you decide to cancel. However, most of the time we are able to fully refund your deposit if you decide to cancel before your installation date.
Step 5: Delivery of Equipment and Start of Work
Equipment is delivered to your home on the day of installation. We arrive on-site as close to 8 am as possible. Our installers begin work at 7 am, so depending on traffic, or necessary Home Depot or stop for gas, this time could fluctuate. Your installers are instructed to call when on their way. This notifies you of their location and status, so there are no surprises. Once on-site, we will review the scope of work with you again to make sure we are all on the same page. We will discuss with you any preferences you may have, as well as any sensitive areas of the project that we foresee. We never want you to be “in the dark” about any part of our installation process. If the equipment wasn’t sent to the job with the installers for any reason, your installation team will oversee the delivery of equipment from the manufacturer.
Step 6: Completion and Walk Through
After your residential installation or ac replacement has been completed, our team will walk you through the home. This walk-through is very important. It is the way in which we make sure we have cleaned up to your satisfaction, and that all of our craftsmanship has been completed with every detail considered. This is the time for both parties to make sure that each and every line of the contract has been completed to customer satisfaction.
We will also walk you through the operation of your new HVAC system. At this time we will balance and test airflow, room temperatures, and other customer preferences. In addition, your lead technician will walk you through a tutorial on your controller or thermostat to ensure you are comfortable operating your new system. If WiFi thermostats have been installed, we will also be testing and configuring any corresponding apps and devices for you. Upon your approval, our installer will ask for the final payment. Once this is complete, your? warranties and all included services are now in full effect, and you are free to relax and enjoy your new heating and air conditioning system.
