HUNTINGTON BEACH · DUCTLESS HEATING & COOLING

Comfort for the rooms you actually live in.

A warm bedroom. A new home office. An addition without ductwork. Tell us what isn’t working for you. We’ll help you decide whether a ductless mini-split is the right fit.

START WITH YOUR SPACE

One room.
Or room by room.

A mini-split connects an outdoor unit to indoor units with refrigerant lines, rather than distributing air through ducts. Heat-pump models can cool in summer and provide heating on cooler days.

A single room that needs help

A single-zone system may suit a bedroom, office or addition. We look at the room’s heat load, insulation, layout and how you use it, not just its square footage.

Discuss a single-room project

Several rooms, separate control

Multiple indoor units can give each zone its own temperature setting. Closed doors, airflow and outdoor-unit capacity matter. More heads are not automatically a better design.

BEFORE WE RECOMMEND AN INSTALLATION

A good fit starts with a closer look.

We start with your comfort goals, then check:

  • Room loads and placement. Airflow, outdoor clearances and service access.
  • The installation route. Electrical capacity, refrigerant lines, drainage and permits.
  • Coastal exposure. Placement and care suited to your setting, not a corrosion-proof promise.

Your proposal explains equipment, controls, scope, pricing and written coverage. Explore our brands or Quilt heat pumps.

YOUR HOME. YOUR QUESTIONS.

Before you decide.

Not sure which direction to take? Talk with our team at (562) 201-3014.

Should I choose single-zone or multi-zone ductless?

Start with the rooms that need heating or cooling. A single-zone system serves one area; a multi-zone design uses several indoor units. Thomson assesses room loads, layout, door positions, equipment capacity and installation routes before recommending a design.

Can a mini-split heat as well as cool?

Yes, ductless heat-pump models can provide both heating and cooling. We confirm the proposed equipment and capacity for your home. A single indoor unit should not be assumed to condition every closed-off room.

What affects the installation estimate?

Room count and loads, indoor and outdoor placement, electrical work, refrigerant line routes, drainage, access and permit requirements all affect the scope. Ask for an installation estimate so equipment, pricing and written coverage can be reviewed before you approve work.

Does a coastal home need special planning?

Salt exposure and available outdoor space are reasons to assess location, clearances and manufacturer guidance. We discuss suitable equipment and care needs for the site rather than promise a corrosion-proof system or a guaranteed service life.

Which ductless brands does Thomson install?

Thomson installs Hisense, Innovair and Quilt ductless options. Suitability and current availability are confirmed during your assessment. For an existing system, tell us the brand and model so we can confirm service fit.

What maintenance does a ductless system need?

Follow the manufacturer guidance for filter care. Coils, condensate drains, electrical connections and system operation also need periodic attention. Explore the residential maintenance plan and confirm the visit scope for your ductless equipment.

It was time to service the fan blower unit and had a pleasant experience again working with Glenn and his trainee George. I appreciated the time Glenn took to ensure George's work met the expectations that Glenn would have performed the job to. It's not often companies have seasoned experienced employees that can share their knowledge and experience with new staff. I hope Thomson keeps Glenn around for many more years!

Over the years, we've used Thomson to do major HVAC construction, equipment replacement and service. They are always very thorough, knowledgeable, considerate and the prices are fair. They have a lot of experienced technicians on their team and communicating with the office is easy. We get our system serviced every 6 months (very important) and they actually offer a monthly payment plan for that. I didn't take off a star (because they do offer a fantastic service), but it is difficult if something breaks during the weekend. They won't respond until offices open on Monday. But they will get you in as soon as possible and the service is great.

Very honest company and great customer service. It’s been a long time since we had our AC unit inspected and after all these years it’s still good to go and ready for summer! Ethan did a great job answering all my questions. Quick, efficient and very knowledgeable. Thanks Thomson!

Ethan was great and was very helpful in helping me understand the unit. He came out the same day I called and had parts on his truck to make the repairs right then and there. Ethan was very friendly and I would recommend him and Thomson Air Conditioning to anyone in the future.
