REPLACEMENT & ROOM-BY-ROOM COMFORT

A new system.
The right fit.

We start with your home: existing equipment, uncomfortable rooms, comfort goals, and budget. Ductwork condition matters when comparing central heating and cooling with other options.

Ductless comfort, room by room

For an addition or a room that never feels right, a ductless system may make sense. Indoor-unit placement, outdoor space, electrical requirements, and drainage all shape the design.

Explore ductless mini-split installation, Quilt heat pumps, and the brands we install. Equipment, efficiency, scope, permits, and pricing are confirmed in your proposal.

Care for what you have.

Cleaning, testing, filter checks, and inspecting worn components help us understand what your equipment needs. Dirt can make moving air and transferring heat harder.

Airflow, clean air & control

We investigate uncomfortable rooms and indoor-air concerns. Depending on what we find, options may include filtration, duct or register work, humidity control, ventilation, or cleaning and repair.

We also install and repair smart thermostats and help you understand controls that fit your system.

Newport Beach Residential HVAC FAQs

How does Thomson diagnose an AC problem in Newport Beach?

We inspect the system, document useful findings with photos or video, explain what failed, and show you the available options and pricing. You approve the work before we begin.

How often should a Newport Beach HVAC system be maintained?

For most homes, we recommend professional maintenance twice a year. Coastal salt, runtime, filters, and equipment condition can change the exact work needed, so we confirm the maintenance scope after inspecting the system.

How can coastal air affect outdoor HVAC equipment?

Salt in coastal air can speed up corrosion on outdoor coils and cabinets. Regular inspection and proper rinsing can help, and a suitable protective coating may be worth discussing when new equipment is installed.

Which HVAC brands does Thomson install?

Thomson installs Hisense, Innovair, and Quilt equipment. We compare the home, comfort goals, layout, and budget before recommending a ducted or ductless option.

Does Thomson guarantee same-day or 24/7 residential service?

No blanket same-day or 24/7 promise is made. Contact the team with the address and symptoms, and we will confirm current appointment availability and the next practical step.

It was time to service the fan blower unit and had a pleasant experience again working with Glenn and his trainee George. I appreciated the time Glenn took to ensure George's work met the expectations that Glenn would have performed the job to. It's not often companies have seasoned experienced employees that can share their knowledge and experience with new staff. I hope Thomson keeps Glenn around for many more years!

Over the years, we've used Thomson to do major HVAC construction, equipment replacement and service. They are always very thorough, knowledgeable, considerate and the prices are fair. They have a lot of experienced technicians on their team and communicating with the office is easy. We get our system serviced every 6 months (very important) and they actually offer a monthly payment plan for that. I didn't take off a star (because they do offer a fantastic service), but it is difficult if something breaks during the weekend. They won't respond until offices open on Monday. But they will get you in as soon as possible and the service is great.

Very honest company and great customer service. It’s been a long time since we had our AC unit inspected and after all these years it’s still good to go and ready for summer! Ethan did a great job answering all my questions. Quick, efficient and very knowledgeable. Thanks Thomson!

Ethan was great and was very helpful in helping me understand the unit. He came out the same day I called and had parts on his truck to make the repairs right then and there. Ethan was very friendly and I would recommend him and Thomson Air Conditioning to anyone in the future.
